Prescription Opioids: From Prescription to Addiction

Prescription drug abuse can affect all age groups, including teens. Examples of prescription drug abuse includes not taking the drug as prescribed, taking another person’s medicine, and crushing medicine to snort or inject. The prescription medicines that are most often abused are opioids. The abuse of opioids can lead to a tolerance to the drug and an opioid addiction.
